Advanced Nurse Practitioner in Emergency Medicine, Specialist Health & Safety Educator.

Emma is a seasoned healthcare professional and educator with over 15 years of experience in emergency medicine, occupational health, and clinical training. As the Managing Director and Lead Trainer at Heart Starterz Gibraltar, Emma leads a team of medical experts delivering accredited First Aid and Health & Safety training across Gibraltar and the surrounding region.

Her clinical background includes a decade of service with the Somerset Primary Care Trust in the UK, where she held a Band 7 Advanced Nurse Practitioner role. Emma’s academic achievements include postgraduate studies at MSc level, with a focus on emergency care and workplace health.

Since joining Heart Starterz in 2022, Emma has transformed the organization into a leading CIEH-accredited training centre, offering UK-regulated qualifications in First Aid, Fire Safety, Manual Handling, and Risk Assessment. Her training sessions are known for their practical, hands-on approach, drawing from real-world experience to empower individuals and teams with life-saving skills.

Emma is passionate about raising standards in health and safety education and continues to collaborate with local organizations—including the Gibraltar Football Association—to promote CPR awareness and defibrillator readiness in the community.

Billie delivers First Aid, Mental Health First Aid and Moving and Handling training. With a background in education leadership (NPQH) and a specialism in neurodiversity, challenging behaviour and inclusive education Billie brings varied learning pedagogy to the classroom along with a broad underpinning knowledge in health care.

Billie can also offer bespoke training covering understanding of neurodiversity, sensory processing, behaviour support (including Advanced Team Teach Tutor) and the impact of trauma on the brain and learning.

David is an experienced HR and Health & Safety consultant, accredited by the Chartered Institute of Environmental Health (CIEH). He delivers a wide range of accredited HR and Health & Safety courses, including multiple disciplines within Health & Safety, Food Hygiene, Fire Safety, and Payroll.

David has trained employees and managers across Gibraltar’s finance, property, technology, and gaming sectors, ensuring compliance with local legislation and best practice standards. His training style is practical, engaging, and tailored to the needs of each organisation, helping participants gain the skills and confidence to apply their learning effectively in the workplace.

Teresa is our new business administrator responsible for maintaining all things admin here at Heartstarterz. She has over 35 years of experience in accounting and administration and notably spent 4 years working for NATO in Belgium before arriving in Gibraltar. If she's not at her desk you can find her yomping around the rock!
